Price




14" Antique all cloth Babyland Rag doll, called a topsy turvy doll. She has a lithographed printed white childs face on the side, turn her over, and she shows a lithographed printed black childs face. All original clothing, in excellent condition.  Circa 1912
 
 
14" Black mask-face cloth doll, with painted features, cloth body, composition hands, and wooden lower legs and feet. Made by Dean's Rag Book.  The clothing looks all original, but is sewed to the body, so I cannot see the markings. In the 1930's, a series of character dolls were made by Dean's with cloth body, and composition hands, this is probably the "Raj" from that series.  Circa 1930's $175.00
 
 
12" Antique French cloth doll, with painted features, original felt clothing, and curly mohair wig. With the original gold colored metal tag affixed to the front of her dress that reads: FRANCE and has a symbol of two standing bears, embracing each other.  Circa 1930 $195.00
 
 
16" Antique black velvet cloth character doll, by Norah Wellings, with sewn cloth label on his foot: Made in England by Norah Wellings. . He has insert brown glss eyes, swivel neck and original black mohair wig. His clothing is also original.  Circa 1930 $250.00
 
 
16" (to top of his hat) Antique WWII era cloth sailor: "Davey Dee, somewhere at sea" with HMN (Her Majesty's Navy) hand stitched on his hat.  All original, with hand painted face, and metal whistle in his pocket. He comes with an original hand written letter, written from "mother" expressing sentiments of love. Circa WWII $250.00
 
 
22" Vintage cloth Norah Wellings boy doll, with painted brown side-glancing eyes, blonde mohair wig and wearing his original Dutch outfit in felt and velvet (some fading to clothing from age). He is in his original box (no box lid) and the box label reads: No 816D  Norene Doll 444/22. In excellent condition the box has some edge separation and wear. Even has some of the original paper box lining! Circa 1936 $750.00
 
 
10" Original Bernard Ravca doll, of a Revolutionary Soldier, with molded, painted face, and all original clothing. Original hang tag says "original Ravca Paris- New York", and on the back, hand written: "Tadeusz Koscouszko and signed in ink: Bernard Ravca". Circa 1939 $150.00
 
 
9 1/2" Antique unusual cloth doll, with slightly molded face, blue glass eyes, with painted highlights, and stitching. Hang tag reads: N. Rosenberg. Circa 1920 $125.00
 
 
11" Antique cloth Trilby boy doll, one of the "Life Like Line" of rag dolls, attributed to the American Stuffed Novelty Company (unmarked). He was developed as the American version of the Lenci doll. He has a molded cloth face, with painted features, and is jointed at the head, arms, and legs. His has his original hand sewn blonde mohair wig, and his original clothing is made of felt. Circa 1924-1925
 
 
18" Antique cloth doll, with printed face, hair, and underwear. Unmarked, possibly printed by either the Art Fabric Mills Company, or Arnold Print Works.  These dolls originally came in uncut sheets of fabric, which a mother would cut and assemble for her daughter. This one was assembled many years ago, and she wears her original antique clothing, ( family made) antique calico print cotton dress, and underclothes. Circa 1920 $250.00
 
 
7" to 8" Antique Russian cloth dolls, with molded, painted faces, and wearing various costumes of Russia, all have woven straw shoes. The two dolls with the red hats are each tagged " Mordwa Woman". The two dolls with cloth hats, and blonde hair are both tagged with cloth labels "Kiazan Village". Circa 1930's $65.00

10 1/2" and 9" Antique cloth dolls, with slightly molded faces, hand-painted features, original curly blonde mohair wigs, and all cloth bodies, wearing matching silk dresses with hand-stitched embroidered details, matching hair ribbons, and silk shoes. (Unmarked, but purchased with dolls made in France). Sold as a pair because the sisiters have always been together! Circa 1920
 
 
13" Antique cloth clown, with stockingette face, and embroidered features. his body is cloth, with french knot design for clothing. There is an old repair to his left lower leg, and he has black sewn on shoes. A bell atop his hat completes his clown outfit.  Circa 1910 $125.00
 
 
turki.jpg (27082 bytes) 11" Antique cloth doll, with hand drawn features. All original clothing, his hand written tag reads: "Turkish Hodja Priest in Mosque and School Teacher of old Turkey." Purchased in Turkey in the early 1920's. $175.00

arana.jpg (84616 bytes) 19" Georgene Raggedy Ann doll, with black outlined nose, with original dress, and bloomers. There is some wear, and discoloration from age. Circa 1938 $995.00

clorus.jpg (42142 bytes) 8" Cloth doll, with molded, painted features, original blonde mohair wig, with a single long braid down her back. (wig sparse in back of her head). She is wearing her original foreign clothing, with embroidered design, and multi color floss headpiece. Unmarked. $125.00

Nice, colorful uncut cloth doll "Merrie Marie" by Selchow & Richter Co." Marked: Pat. Feb 13, 1900. The dolls and illustration  colors are bright, with only a small amount of discoloration from age. The piece measures 35" wide, and 55" tall. Circa 1900 $325.00

19" Painted cloth doll by Martha Jenks Chase made in Pawtuckett, Rhode Island. Nude, Marked on upper left thigh with the Chase stamp. Painted brown eyes, lower arms, lower legs and sateen cloth covered torso. She has blonde hair and applied ears. There are cracks and crazing on the painted surfaces, there is no repaint or repairs! c. 1900
